You are bidding on a West Coast, Mono, First Pressing of The Velvet Underground & Nico with the Torso Cover. Everyone knows and loves this album. I have listened to this record several times and I haven’t noticed any playback issues at all. There are a few hairline marks on the playing surface but they don’t seem to affect playback and the record looks very clean and shiny. The banana appears to have been peeled and glued back on with a Chiquita sticker added for comedic effect, hilarious. There is also the name of the first owner, neatly written in several areas on the cover, including a “belongs to” sticker inside the gatefold. The man I bought this from told me that this was his mother’s record and she partied with music industry types. So perhaps she was taking this with her on some of her journeys and wanted to make certain that someone didn’t mistake it for their own. Besides the glued back on banana, the cover has some shelf wear but nothing too egregious, spine is intact and readable.
